ROB-EX 7.6 is ready

In this version, our focus has been on the Operator and Web Planner. We are also introducing a completely new feature, Frozen Period.

New features in ROB-EX 7.6:

Frozen Period: In version 7.6, we are introducing a new setting for resources that allows the planner to create a locked schedule from the current time and, for example, two days ahead. A frozen period should be seen as a time during which the plan will not be changed. This means that no new orders will be added, and the current sequence of operations will be maintained, allowing production to prepare for a smooth execution. However, it is still possible to manually re-schedule operations during the frozen period, and even when planning rules are applied, an active decision must be made to determine whether the frozen period should be respected or not.

Users can now log in using the OAuth/OpenId standard: The ROB-EX server can now be configured to allow users to log in using the OAuth/OpenId standard. This provides new and modern login options for our web clients (Web Planner, Operator, and Dashboard), so companies can use whichever secure login provider they prefer, such as Microsoft Azure AD. In a later update, this will also be supported by our Desktop client.

More features in ROB-EX Operator: Our new Operator has been expanded with many new capabilities and functions, making it even easier to collect job registrations from operators and production. The option to display attached documents is now available in Operator, which also now allows you to show the material requirements for an operation.

More features in Web Planner: Our Web Planner client has been expanded with many new features, making it even more useful as both a viewer and planning client.

• The project Gantt chart includes new and faster options to expand and collapse the project hierarchy.
• During planning in the Gantt chart, new adjustment options make it quick to align an operation with the end of the previous operation or the start of the next one. It is now also easy to shift overlapping operations, allowing you to quickly fit an urgent order into an existing plan.
• Web Planner now includes material graphs, enabling you to quickly and directly view the inventory for a selected operation in the Gantt chart, ensuring all materials are in stock when an operation is planned to start.
• It is now possible to view attached documents, so electronic documentation follows the task and is easily accessible with just a few simple clicks.

Note: ROB-EX 7.2 is no longer being bug-fixed, as it falls out of our support window with the release of our new version 7.6. As ROB-EX 7.2 is no longer a version we can fix errors on, we therefore recommend updating your ROB-EX to a newer version.
