You may edit an operation by:

  • double clicking on an operation in the route list (in e.g. the the Edit->Route window or from the Order list).
  • double clicking on an operation in the Gantt chart
  • selecting Edit operation in the right-click short cut menu

The following parts of the Edit operation window is explained below:

Edit operation

Field Explanation
Resource Change resource.
Select between alternative resources defined for this type of operation.
Please refer to chapter Detail panel” for further information.
Color Change operation color.
The color is shown in the gantt-chart when “Operation color” is selected as color scheme in the toolbar.
In anchor Change anchor point of the incoming constraint
Change how this operation is aligned with the previous operation.
Options:
Operation start
Previous operation must end before current operation is started. .
Setup end
Previous operation must end before setup time end of the current operation
Workload start
Previous operation must end before workload period starts (same as “Setup end”)
Workload end
Previous operation must end before workload period ends (same as “Switchover start”
Switchover start
Previous operation must end before start of switchover time of the current operation
Operation end
Previous operation must end before final completion of the current operation
 
The scheduling strategies will schedule according to settings of In anchor and Out anchor
These anchor settings will act as the default settings for all constraints going into the operation. Anchors may however also be edited individually per constratins line. Please see the Dependencies tab.
Price Indicates the price of the operation.
The price of the operation is used when calculation the turnover for the period. For further information please refer to the Project. module description.
By checking “Calculate” the price will be calculated as an hour rate based on workload and set up time.
Account Indicates the account to which the current operation belongs.
No account/same as parent Indicates that the operation either belongs to the same account as the production order or the project or that the operation does not belong to any account. y – xxxx – (accountno. – name – budgetstart) indicaes that the operation belongs to another account than the parent productionorder or project.

Material- and delivery time Specific material- and delivery time for the selected operation.
Without check marks in the material- and delivery time fields, the production order material- and delivery time is shown.
With check marks in the material- and delivery time fields, specific material- and delivery times can be entered for the selected operation. In this way, the operation material- and delivery time can be different from the material- and delivery time of the production order.
If you color the Gantt chart by Milestone is active, it is shown if operations respects the material- and delivery times.
Status Status for the selected operation can be changed following the rules of changing status in ROB-EX.
Note that the production order must have status “Start possible” or higher, before the status of operations can be changed.
Description An operation description can be viewed or edited in this field. The description is available in many different places, including when hovering the mouse on top of an operation in the Gantt chart
