The progress function can get its information (partial completions) by

  1. Manually entering the information in this window. A typical way to get to the tab, is by double clicking an operation in the Gantt chart. The window Edit operation is opened. For Started operations the Progress tab is automatically selected – otherwise select the tab manually.
  2. Obtained automatically directly from ROB-EX Scheduler Shop Floor
  3. Automatically imported from other systems using any of the integrations methods. E.g. CSV Time and Attendance, XML, REST, etc.

This is a description and functions of the different fields available manually in this window.

Field Explanation
Actual start Indicates the actual start time of the operation.
If nothing is entered, it will default to scheduled start time.
Last progress timestamp Indicates the last time where progress has been reported.
If nothing is entered, it will default to Actual start
Last progress timestamp is used for calculating the new Calculated end.
Calculated end = Last_progress_timestamp + hoursLeft
Shown graphically, the concepts are:
Pre Production:
Set up
Report actual hours spent on setup time in the field Set up. A new calculated end time is indicated.
Pre Production:
Fill up
Report actual hours spent on fill up time in the field Fill up (Batch related). A new calculated end time is indicated.
Produced In the Produced fields the full progress is entered as hours, quantity or %.
The produced part of the operation in shown in the Gantt plan with a dark color and the remaining part is shown with the operations normal color.

By default produced hours, quantity and % all depend on each other, eg. when changing the hours produced the quantity and % is also automatically recalculated. These values can also be entered manually, depending on settings in menu Function->Settings->General tab Progress.
Auto fill of previous step: When reporting in hours or % the previous step is completed automatically in cases where the previous step has a zero progress reported. As an example: 3 hours is planned on the setup step but no actual progress has been reported. If hours are now reported on the workload step, then 3 hours is assigned automatically to the setup time step. Note this auto fill when zero is not done when progress is reported in quantity.
Left In the Left fields the remaining amount of hours, quantity and % is shown.
Post Production:
Emptying
When progress is reported a new value for emptying may be entered and shown in the field Emptying. A new calculated end time is indicated.
Post Production:
Switch over
When progress is reported a new switch over time may be entered and shown in the field Switch over. A new calculated end time is indicated.
Calculated/Actual end The Calculated/Actual end time is calculated based on the remaining work (left hours or quantity) and the time extending from Last progress timestamp and forward.

If reporting of the progress results in that the “Calculated/Actual end” time is later than the original planned end time (Revised end time), the operation is shown with red color in the Gantt plan when the coloring “Progress colors” has been selected in the tool bar.
When the user acknowledge the Calculated/Actual end time, he pushes the Revise button, (Revised end time is set equal to Calculated/Actual end time) the operation is shown with green color again.
Revised end Revised end time is equal to the original planned end time until it is Revised. Also see description for Calculated/Actual end
