Alternate hierarchy

Use this field to provide an alternative to the resource hierarchy that groups and group members define. You can use the backslash character \ to define additional sub-group levels. The button Show hierarchy will show how all resources in the plan will fall into different groups. Use this to verify your configuration.

The following example shows how four different resource members of the same resource group, are sub-divided into two new groups: millgroup1 and millgroup2. For the purpose of the example, the millgroup1 is further part of a sub-group “mill” (using the \ separator).

There are no standard built in business rules that uses the hierarchy defined here. The idea is that this hierarchy may be used by scripts and User Plugins to achieve a special customer behaviour. Example usages, bot not limited to, could be:

  • Overwrite the resource change logic to only allow an operation in millgroup1 to be assigned to another resource within the same group.
  • If a an operation is assigned to from a resource belonging to millgroup1 to a resource belonging to millgroup2, then increase/increas the operation efficiency by a certain factor

Login name

Specify a login name and optional password. Will allow a ROB-EX Shopfloor user to login and initially see a job list for the specified resource.

Synchronize Manpower and Efficiency

Select the synchronization option for operation manpower and operation efficiency of this resource.
NB: Changing the setting will not update the values of manpower/efficiency until the field itself is updated.

Values are:

Off
There is no synchronization between operation manpower and operation efficiency
Default
The setting from GanttSetup.properties will be used. See Miscellaneous configurations
Opr. eff. = manpower
The operation efficiency and operation manpower are the same.
Opr. eff x manpower
The operation manpower scales with the operation efficiency (“base manpower” x “operation efficiency” = “actual manpower”).
