The following applies to Proficy Scheduler version 6.4 and newer versions. For version 6.2 and older read instead Licensing of versions prior to 6.4
The Proficy Scheduler license contains information about what modules and how many Planners, Viewers, Operators (Shop Floor, Dashboard, etc.) and Integration clients you have purchased. A license key will be emailed to you, once your purchase has been completed.
Proficy Scheduler licenses are floating by default. This means that your Proficy Scheduler client consumes a single license for the duration it is open. Once you close your Proficy Scheduler client, the license is free for someone else in the company.
A Floating License server must be installed and running on a server on your company network for the floating licensing to work. See installing Proficy Scheduler Floating License Server
