Functions menu

The menu Functions contains the following options:

Settings – Scheduling strategy

Select a scheduling strategy. For more information see Scheduling strategy window.

From the Scheduling strategy window you may select a default planning strategy. If the option to Define as standard is checked, all following orders will be scheduled using the selected strategy. If the option to Define as standard is not checked the scheduling window will be displayed each time an order is scheduled.

An order is planned when the status changes from “New” to “Planned” or “Forecast” in the Orderlist

An order is re-scheduled when Replan order in the shortcutmenu is selected

Limited capacity results in a scenario where ROB-EX plans the order so that the operations are planned according to the already existing operations in the Gantt chart, thus avoiding overlap.

Unlimited capacity results in scenario where ROB-EX plans the order without considering any possible overlap with already planned orders.

*If limited capacity is selected ROB-EX takes into consideration if any of the resources are defined as having unlimited capacity from Edit resource. I.e. it is possible to shedule orders using limited capacity on all resources except those that have been defined as having unlimited capacity.

By using the filter option at the right of the Strategy list you may filter out unwanted strategies from the list.

Settings – XML Plugin

Configure settings related to the XML import. E.g. this dialog will allow you to create and configure a macro which automatically imports a XML files from a selected directory.

Settings – Database plugin

Configure settings related to the GanttERP2 Database plugin. E.g. this dialog will allow you to create and configure a macro which will automatically import and export from/to an intermediate integration database (GanttERP2)

Settings – Textfile Plugin (CSV1)

Configure settings related to the CSV1 Textfile import and export. E.g. this dialog will allow you to create and configure a macro which automatically imports a CSV text files from a selected directory.

Settings – Manpower

Configure settings for the Manpower module. The Manpower settings are described in the chapter Manpower planner.

User management

• Configure users and groups related to the Shop Floor module
• Configure user roles and rules related to Data Security. This option will allow a ROB-EX administrator to configure which users have edit rights on which resources.

Script console

With access to the ROB-EX Scheduler API license, this menu will allow you to develop and test scripts that are working up againt the ROB-EX Scheduler API. Read more about scripting and the API.
